Chinese Acupuncture following Tonsil Operations

Dr. Shlomi Bertler presented a research project conducted in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department, on the subject of Chinese acupuncture and its effect on reducing pain in children who underwent a tonsil operation.

The "Intern Day" conference of the ENT association was held in Sharei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem on Friday 21/12/2012. Five research projects competing for the ENT Association prize were presented during the conference.

Dr. Shlomi Bertler of the ENT Department presented the Department's research on the effect of acupuncture in reducing pain in children after tonsil removal. Beilinson, Ichilov, and Hadassah hospitals also presented projects.

Dr. Peter Gilby, head of the ENT Department at Ziv, said: "I am delighted that we were selected to participate in such a respected event, it is pleasing to see the name of our medical center displayed and even complimented. I would like to praise Dr. Bertler for his professional and interesting presentation and I hope that together we will produce many more research projects".
