Serving the Survivors

In a moving ceremony held at Yad Vashem, the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims in Israel thanked Ziv's Social Work Service for their excellent work with hospitalized holocaust survivors, awarding them with a certificate of excellence.

According to the Foundation, proportionally to its size, Ziv's social workers traced the greatest number of survivors among its hospitalized patients, 300 in 2015, providing them with information regarding the benefits due to them and assisting them in overcoming the bureaucratic obstacles which have prevented them from realizing these rights.

Mr. Yaniv Ben Shoshan , Head of Ziv's Social Work Services thanked Mrs. Batya Rapaport, Board Member of the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims who presented them with the award, saying "as a social worker, second generation of holocaust survivors from France, I am proud that our service is dedicated to the survivors living among us. Our team has studied the wide variety of rights available to the survivors, and work daily to assist them in obtaining these rights and benefits of which they are not always aware."
