Advanced Digital Resuscitation Models for Medical Simulation

Sophisticated digital CPR models are now being used in pediatric ER to simulate basic and advanced resuscitation.

The two models, one simulating a baby and the other a 6-year-old boy, are accompanied by an advanced simulator that enables the programming of desired training activities, as well as connection to the monitors used to check the condition of the children in emergency. The monitors provide a picture of the vital indicators programmed into the model's simulator.

Dr. Dana Krupik, Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Ziv Medical Center, says that the staff regularly undergoes training and refresher exercises in simulated resuscitation skills, but the technology of these new models provide more of a sense of reality in the training.
