The prestigious publication “Forbes” has listed 3 senior physicians from Ziv on their list of top Israeli physicians.

Professor Alexander Lerner
Professor Lerner, Director of Orthopedics at Ziv Medical Center, is an internationally recognized specialist in orthopedic traumas, war injuries and complicated limb fractures.
Zionism led Professor Alexander Lerner to immigrate to Karmiel from the Soviet Union in 1990, along with his wife and their 2 sons.

In 2010 Professor Lerner was appointed Director of Orthopedics at Ziv. His department is considered today one of the leaders in the field here in Israel. He regularly hosts visiting physicians from the military of the U.S., Russia, Germany, Britain and China interested in learning from the expert and his team how to avoid the need for amputation, even when it may seem that there is no alternative. Many today, including children, both here and abroad, owe the use of their hands /arms and legs to Professor Lerner's unique technique and his determination, and many of his previous patients have kept up contact with him over the years.

Professor Lerner is a sought after international lecturer and has published over 70 articles. His 4 books have been translated into foreign languages and are recommended reading in western armies and to medical teams treating patients injured in terrorist attacks, war and natural disasters.
Professor Lerner also serves as Head of Orthopedics of the Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar Ilan University, Safad.
Professor Antony Luder
Professor Anthony Luder has been the director of the Pediatric Department in Ziv Medical Center since 1992 and is a Vice-Dean of Bar-Ilan University's Azrieli Faculty of Medicine in the Galilee, with responsibility for clinical sciences.

Prof. Luder immigrated to Israel from Britain in 1983 and lives with his family in Rosh Pina. Professor Luder has been practicing medicine for 41 years, 39 of those as a pediatric specialist.
He graduated from University College London in 1978 and trained in Pediatrics and Genetics in London, Toronto, Denver and Haifa. Professor Luder has published widely in the fields of Pediatrics, Genetics, Inborn Errors of Metabolism, Medical Ethics and Medical Education.

Professor Luder was for many years a senior lecturer and program head of the medical studies at the Technion and in 2010 was appointed Vice- Dean of the Bar-Ilan's Faculty of Medicine in Safad and of the four-year medical program of the Faculty. Professor Luder is the former national chairman of the Israel Metabolic Diseases Society and is a past member of the Israel Clinical Pediatrics Society and the Ethics Committee of the Israel Medical Genetics Society. He is also involved in research in the specialties of pediatrics, genetics and metabolism.

Dr. Dan Meron
Dan Meron, a consultant for childhood infectious diseases at Ziv Medical Center and Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinic at HaEmek Medical Center, Afula is a specialist in pediatric medicine and infectious diseases.

Dr. Meron is a member of the Israel Association of Pediatric Medicine, The Israel Society of Clinical Pediatrics, the Israel Association of Infectious Diseases, the Israel Society of Community Pediatrics and the Department of Infectious Diseases in Children.
