Ziv Treats Snow Casualties

15/1/2015
Snow is not a common feature in Israel so that when weather forecasts predicted snow, the country went into full gear preparing for the storm and taking necessary precautions. Despite repeated warnings from authorities regarding the hazards of ice and snow, over the weekend, 30 people many of them visitors who travelled to the north to enjoy the snow, were brought to Ziv with fractures and orthopedic injuries. A number of locals fell from their roofs while trying to fix their frozen solar systems and water boilers. A man in his forties was rushed to Ziv after being hit by lightening.  Luckily for him, his wounds were superficial and he returned home following medical treatment.
